2011 : 7028 Cataract Surgeries performed in the year
  School of Optometry started from 01 Aug 2011 (DOOT) affiliation to Christian Medical Association of
India-New Delhi awarding Diploma in Optometry and Ophthalmic Technician. First time in State
  Eye Donation Centre started with help of National Programme for Control of Blindness.
  More than 2 Lakhs School Children screened
  First Hospital to be Empanelled with Rashtriya Swasthiya Bima Yojana (RSBY) a Government of India
Project (Department of Labour & Employment) for poor and under privileged people.
  Vision Centre in Balipadara started
  Evangelical Fellowship of India (Light Foundation) joined us for eye camp activities in Kandhamal district.
2012 : ‘BAL JYOTI’ a three year project for School Children Screening in Ganjam district started from
24 Sep 12 under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode with ‘‘Sarva Shikshya Abhiyan”(SSA)
Ganjam and District Administraion to render comprehesive eye care to children in this district.
  ‘Training of Trainers’ programme (TOT) under “Bal Jyoti” started on 12 Sep 12 for School Teachers
and Block Resource Teachers of Ganjam district at ECOS Eye Hospital.
  Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) a Government of India Project for the poor and low-income
people - OPD and IP services started from 13 Jan 12, first hospital in the District to roll out this service
to the beneficiary. 2969 patient received IP services.
  District Labour Officer Rayagada, RSBY Rayagada and an NGO ‘Walking-with-the Poor” organised
an Eye camp in Panchayat Baghasola, block-Gunupur, Rayagada on 13 Jul 12. This is in very remote
tribal location in adjacent district of Ganjam.
  ‘Strengthening of Community Eye Care Services and Rehabilitation’ a four year project started from
01 Nov 12, in collaboration with CBM Germany and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation
and Development (BMZ). ECOS is the leading partner with SCH Ranipeta and SCD Titilagarh as
implementing partners for the project.
  First time ever, Diocese of Cuttack, Church of North India joined hands for organising an eye camp
at Ludurma of Mohana Block, Gajapati district, which is also a remotely placed tribal area in adjacent
distict of Ganjam.
